a CSA share in Martha's Vineyard Fibre Farm, my birthday is only a few months away!
how can you resist this shana punim?
This is the kind of story I like, the kind of story that makes me think that if everyone did something like this and did what they really love for love and not money, all the problems in the world would heal themselves. Susan quit her fancy pants big city day job and decided she wanted to raise sheep. Now she runs her own fibre business and farm that is home to a flock of sheep as well as some goats. When you purchase a share in the farm not only to you get a share of the yarn made from the wool harvested that year but you get weekly updates on the goings on at the farm as well as notifications when new lambs and kids are born and get to help name them. You also support a small farm that practices humane animal husbandry. Check out this video for more of the story and even a lamb-y being born as well as the website for more information about the farm and the CSA.
